Cloud Security Summit

In multi-cloud environments, every identity and access decision has data residency and privacy implications—often in ways that teams don’t realize.

A user authenticating in Frankfurt through an identity provider replicated across multiple regions or using federated logins that route data through US-based directories can trigger cross-border identity data flows. Without governance, risk and compliance oversight, these flows bypass critical checks, which creates hidden compliance gaps and increases regulatory and security risk.

Amelia Hewitt addresses how shifting data localization and transfer requirements intersect with the realities of IAM in multi-cloud. The session outlines how to build authentication, authorization and governance frameworks that sustain visibility and control over identity data flows. Attendees will gain practical strategies to reduce regulatory risk, enforce data sovereignty and sustain cloud agility.
