Innovations in Edge Computing

As organizations embrace the cloud-native edge, the convergence of digital and physical infrastructures has created both unprecedented opportunities and challenges. This session explores some of the management challenges in large-scale edge deployments, where scalability, repeatability and operational efficiency are of critical importance.

We will discuss benefits of cloud-native declarative automation when managing huge numbers of clusters in many locations, and provide an overview of some tools and techniques used to simplify management of diverse Edge deployments.

Through open source projects such as Cluster API, Metal3, Edge Image Builder, Metallb, Leap Micro, and Rancher, we will see how these tools allow us to manage the growth of data centers and edge environments at scale.
